Painting.
The goal of painting is indeterminate.
If it were clearly defined - for example, to create the illusion of what is seen, or to delight the eye and mind through a certain musical distribution of color and forms - the problem would be much simpler, and there would certainly be more beautiful works (that is, those that meet very specific requirements), but none that would be inexplicably beautiful. There would not be the works that one never gets to the bottom of.
