Galerie Fenna Wehlau - Eberhard Ross - refugium
The original source of Eberhard Ross's work is the observation of nature, its processes and rhythms. In the exhibition refugium we show Ross's delicately shimmering and melodically pulsating images from the series of works "laudate", "fermata", "memories" and most recently "on the nature of daylight". They create a sound of silence, the room becomes a kind of refuge.
In Ross's paintings the finely superimposed layers of images merge into a vibrant, colorful unity, making the composition glow and sound in a fascinating way. Indeed, the tones of these compositions extend far into space. To pause, to feel the color of sound, as if painting were music - that is what the painter wishes for the viewer.
