Peter Lang applies the pigment to the canvas using a string, but what matters most is how the pigment spreads out from the point where the line strikes the canvas, creating hints of color in the spaces in between—much like the silent passages in a musical composition. {...} Color becomes his manifestation of being part of this world; not a detached or isolated observer, but someone who lives in this world and communicates with it.
