In this duo, the most intimate form of musical conversation, saxophonist Jason Seizer and Danish double bassist Jonas Westergaard explore the finely woven compositions of the great Billy Strayhorn. An exploration of the music of this exceptional artist, who became the main arranger for the great Duke Ellington early on in his career. Supplemented by ad hoc free improvisation miniatures, the result is an arc of tension full of dazzling sound colors.
